Having a doula who is the right fit for you and your family is an incredibly important and personal decision. Either by phone or Zoom we will have a quick 15-20 min chat about what you are looking for and get to know each other a bit. After that, if we all decide we would like to meet, I will come meet you in your home or location of your choosing to talk more in detail, and you will have a chance to ask me any questions you may have.

We’re a great fit and have decided to work together to achieve a wonderful birthing experience! Now what?

Now we get started! We will discuss and sign a contract, work out the financial side of things, and then move onto the fun.

Together we will make a birth and postpartum plan, learn and practice a variety of hands on comfort measures and breathing techniques, and build your confidence to have the birth you’ve always wanted.

It’s time!

10 days before your due date I will go “on call” for your birth. Day or night, I will be a phone call away to come and provide you with the support you deserve and to help keep your entire team as closely aligned with your vision for your birth as possible.

There is no limit on how long I will provide support for your birth. I will be there until baby is born, you’ve had your golden hour with your baby, and everyone feels comfortable with my departure.

After you have had a chance to settle in a bit (3-5 days after you arrive home) I will come for our first postpartum session. I will come with a meal in hand as well as some other postpartum treats. We will debrief your birthing experience now that you’ve had a bit of time to reflect. I am also there to help with household tasks (laundry, dishes etc), look after baby while you get some rest or a nice long shower, or help to entertain older children.
